Young Athlete development program

Enhance sports performance + reduce the risk of injury

Our innovative young athletes program is designed to nurture the unique needs of budding athletes, aiming to enhance their sports performance, increase their enjoyment of sports, minimise injury risks, and foster a lifelong engagement in physical activity. It begins with a personalised one-on-one consultation to understand each athlete’s specific needs and goals. Following this initial meeting, the program is delivered through group classes.

why our young athlete program stands out

Our LTAD program is more than just training; it’s a comprehensive development model that places each young athlete at the heart of its approach.

By participating in our LTAD program, athletes receive:

  • Individualised Exercise Plans: Every participant is provided with a personalised exercise program, created by our accredited Exercise Physiologists, who also supervise exercises, ensure proper technique, and adjust programs as necessary for optimal progress.
  • Expert Guidance: Before starting, athletes have a one-on-one session with an Exercise Physiologist to thoroughly review medical and injury history, conduct assessments, and set tailored goals. This bespoke approach ensures that each exercise program aligns perfectly with the athlete’s specific needs, performance objectives, and aspirations.

benefits of our program for young athletes

  • Enhanced Physical Literacy: Under the guidance of exercise professionals within the young athlete program framework, children develop essential physical literacy and motor skills which are fundamental for excelling in their chosen sports.
  • Foundation for Lifelong Activity: Long-term studies suggest that active children are more likely to become active adults. Our young athlete program supports this vital transition by fostering a love for movement that lasts a lifetime.
  • Overall Development: Participation in regular exercise and team sports through our young athlete program promotes not only physical benefits but also contributes to improved self-esteem, social skills, coordination, brain development, and personal skills like teamwork and leadership.

our young athlete areas of focus

  • Learning to Train: Aims at developing physical literacy and enhancing agility, balance, and coordination to improve overall sports skills.
  • Training to Train: Focuses on boosting speed, endurance, strength, and specific athletic skills and fitness.
  • Learning to Compete: Concentrates on specialised physical preparation for events and introduces specialisation in sports.
