Transform your health

Living with diabetes or working to prevent its onset presents unique challenges. Recognising this, we’ve partnered with “Beat It” to offer our Diabetes Program, designed to to support and empower you. This government-run initiative, 8 week program is free and begins with an initial one-on-one consultation. Following this personalised session, the program is delivered through group classes. Our goal is not just to manage your diabetes but to transform your health, enhancing your vitality and overall quality of life.

Understanding that each individual’s journey with diabetes is unique, our program, as part of the “Beat It” initiative, is designed to cater to your specific health goals. Whether you’re aiming for better blood sugar control, weight management, or overall enhanced well-being, our program is here to guide you.

Our Diabetes Program goes beyond just exercise and includes:

  • Moderate Intensity Aerobic Exercise: Engage in exercises that are not just effective but also enjoyable. From brisk walking to cycling, we ensure that you find joy in movement.
  • Strength and Balance Exercises: Build your strength and improve your balance with exercises that are specially chosen for their effectiveness for individuals managing diabetes.
  • Educational Sessions with Our Dietitian: Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to managing diabetes. Our in-house dietitian is here to share valuable insights on nutrition and how it impacts your diabetes management plan.

To participate, you must be able to commit to the 8-week program (2 sessions per week). Classes start slowly and build up as you become fitter, stronger, and more confident. Exercise professionals tailor specific exercise programs to each individual based on your needs. This program is run by exercise professionals who have undertaken training with Diabetes NSW & ACT.
