Active Amputees
Rebuild strength. Regain confidence. Move forward.
Our Active Amputees Group is a specialised program for individuals living with limb loss. Whether you’re newly navigating life as an amputee or have been using a prosthesis for years, this group is designed to help you stay active, independent, and empowered — with expert support every step of the way.
what our program offers
This is more than just rehab — it’s a supportive pathway to greater mobility, strength, and self-assurance in everyday life.
Here’s what makes our program different:
- Expert-Led Sessions: Sessions are led by a Kenevo-certified physiotherapist with deep experience in amputee care, ensuring safe, effective, and tailored support for every participant.
- Functional Strength & Exercise Training: Build muscular strength, improve flexibility, and boost endurance with exercises designed specifically for amputee rehabilitation.
- Balance & Gait Training: Improve your walking pattern, posture, and movement for better overall mobility, whether you’re learning to use a prosthesis or refining long-term skills.
- Prosthetic & Stump Support: We provide prosthetic checks to ensure correct fit and function, alongside guidance for effective stump management and residual limb care.
- Peer Support & Community Connection:Our group fosters meaningful connection. Share experiences, tips, and encouragement with others who truly understand your journey.
Who can join?
The program is open to all amputees — from those adjusting to a new prosthesis to long-term users looking to stay active and engaged. No matter where you are in your journey, we’ll meet you at your level and help you progress at your pace.
Flexible options
We understand everyone’s needs are different. That’s why we offer:
- Group Sessions: Experience the benefits of shared motivation, community support, and expert-led training in a small group environment.
- One-on-One Sessions: For more individualised attention, we also offer private consults to address specific challenges or goals.
why focus on active rehabilitation?
Staying strong and mobile after amputation is about more than physical health — it’s about living life with confidence and freedom. Our program helps reduce the risk of falls, improve everyday function, and support your overall quality of life.
